CACD Men’s Wellbeing Group
We are delighted to share the success of CACD’s Men’s Wellbeing Group, delivered from autumn 2025 through to February 2026, thanks to support from the Public Health Agency

This project provided a safe, welcoming space for men to connect, learn new skills, and improve their overall wellbeing while embracing the Take Five Steps to Wellbeing: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, and Give.
Participants engaged in a wide range of activities designed to build confidence, reduce isolation, and promote positive mental health, including:
• Deep sea fishing trips encouraging connection and relaxation
• Cookery demonstrations promoting healthy eating and life skills
• A hands-on blacksmithing course at Moneypenny’s Forge
• Woodwork workshops developing practical skills and creativity
• A festive Christmas dinner at Sintons, Scarva
• A day trip to Castle Ward House
• A cultural visit to the Robinson Library, Armagh
We extend our sincere thanks to the Public Health Agency for their support, and to all participants who made this programme such a positive and meaningful experience.
Deep Sea Fishing Adventure!
The CACD Men’s Wellbeing Group recently had a deep-sea fishing adventure!
A fantastic experience filled with laughter, connection, and a of course successful catch.
Great day had by all, with a fish supper provided!

Black Smithing at Moneypenny’s Lock
We’ve recently kicked off a brand-new Blacksmith Course at Moneypenny’s Lock & Lockhouse.
It’s a great opportunity to learn traditional skills, get creative, and enjoy some hands-on fun in a friendly, supportive environment.
